How to fish for stonecat

Stonecat are the largest of the madtoms, a nocturnal catfish of clean, rocky riffles and runs in streams and rivers, hiding under large stones by day and hunting invertebrates and small fish after dark. Big enough to be caught occasionally on small bottom baits, they're still not a real angling target - they're a forage fish and, as with other madtoms, carry venomous pectoral spines that sting if handled carelessly.
