How to fish for freshwater tubenose goby
Freshwater tubenose goby are a small invasive goby from the Black and Caspian Sea region, named for the tube-like extensions of their nostrils, established in parts of the Great Lakes though far less widespread and disruptive than the round goby. They live among vegetation and structure in warm shallows, feeding on small invertebrates. They aren't an angling target - they're a small invasive forage fish. On a location page, tubenose goby are an established non-native of vegetated shallows, less ecologically dominant than the round goby but part of the same wave of invasive gobies in the system.
